Copyright Assignment

This video just contains music and pictures of marine organisms. Here’s what I think the user did good and bad with regards to copyright:

Bad:

· There is no citation of where the pictures were from

· Within the video there was no citation for the background music used. More than 30 seconds of music was used as well.

Good:

· Outside of the video with the video description on YouTube, there is a listing of the music artist’s name and a link to their music.

· The description under the video cites a source where they probably got their information, but this isn’t super clear. They could just be links to additional sources.

This video is about the depletion of the rainforest and seems to be compiled by a group of students, however, they didn’t follow all copyright standards:

Bad:

· A music track is used and there is no citation whatsoever. More than 30 seconds of the track is played, although technically the song could be ridiculously long and this would only be 10%, but that’s doubtful!

· Pictures of organisms and rainforest are not documented in any way.

Good:

· I’m having trouble finding something good about this one. The students all put their names at the end, so they get some credit for making the video (and for violating copyright).
